Sites and pages worth a visit or two...

BLUE CIRCLE RECORDS... Tom T. Hall and Dixie Hall's label, dedicated to old-time and wholesome bluegrass and country music. Artists include Jeanette Williams, Daughters of Bluegrass, Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road, and ol' Tom T. his own self. When Nashville stopped caring, Tom T. took over.

FROGVILLE RECORDS... When you live in the wilds of New Mexico, you sometimes have to fend for yourself. Frogville has been doing it and very well, thank you, with the likes of Hundred Year Flood, ThaMusement, Taarka and others. Some really fine music here.

GLOBAL RECORDING ARTISTS... If you've ever wondered where Gary Duncan of Quicksilver Messenger Service went, you're obviously not plugged in to the Internet. He's with GRA along with Sky Saxon, Bill Mumy, Batdorf & Stanley, Crawfish of Love and others. Very interesting...

HAPISKRATCH... A do-it-all music company based in Colorado. These guys have handled Oskar Blues' CD Compilations--- 'The Singing 12-Pack' series--- from the beginning. From beginning to end, in fact. Like their motto says--- 'everything starts from skratch'.

ITSABOUTMUSIC.COM... A site which practices what it preaches, serving the odd-man-out artists and the searching music lover. CDs by little known groups and artists like Space Opera, The Buckinghams, Unicorn, Bill Quateman, Michael Stanley and others available here. Try finding them elsewhere... Oh, and the two SAND LPs now on CD, also. Great stuff!

MUSIC MILLENNIUM... There has been no greater supporter of independent music than Music Millennium in Portland, Oregon. Owner Terry Currier has gone out of his way time and again to do things right. A great store to order from online. Even better to visit. If you're ever in Portland, stop by and talk to the people there. They know their stuff.

OSKAR BLUES BREWERY... You gotta love a brewery that loves music and, kid you not, CANS their ale. They not only support independent music through their pub and their 'Singing 12-Pack' CDs, they brew great ale!!! And with humor!!!

RED HOUSE RECORDS... A real label with real artists, we understand. People like Eliza Gilkyson, Chuck Brodsky, Spider John Koerner, The Wailin' Jennys. Hell, they even signed Danny Schmidt. He heard they had a red outhouse. Finished his album and went looking for it. Hasn't come back yet. Probably still looking. Hmmm...

VICTORY MUSIC MAGAZINE... Victory has been covering the acoustic music scene in the Pac Northwest for decades and continues to do a standup job. Back when they started, it was folk, but folk just ain't what it used to be. Stop by to see what they have to say. You might learn something.

WONDERCAP RECORDS... Not necessarily jazz, but then again... Wondercap deals with the jazz netherworld, recording artists like X's DJ Bonebrake, Sam Phipps, and Dave Winogrond. Sometimes, for some people, plain old jazz just doesn't do.

YEP ROC RECORDS... An incredible lineup of artists here, but there isn't enough bandwidth to do it justice. Let's just say that a label with Nick Lowe, Dave Alvin, Th' Legendary Shack Shakers, The Reverend Horton Heat, Southern Culture on the Skids as starters can't be half bad. Robyn Hitchcock thinks so. He's there too.
